The Symphony No. 23 in D major, K. 181, of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was dated as complete on May 19, 1773.[1] It is sometimes called "Overture", even though the autograph score bears the title "Sinfonia".[1] The symphony has the scoring of two oboes, two horns, two trumpets, and strings. He wrote the symphony as a single uninterrupted movement consisting of three distinct tempi:

  1. Allegro spirituoso, 4/4
  2. Andantino grazioso, 3/8
  3. Presto assai, 2/4
